My Load Days
I started loading on Sunday, September 6, 2009 and finished the second load day on Monday the 7th. It worked out perfectly as it coincided with all the birthday and Labor Day activities I had going on. Woot! I have to say, it was a great free-for-all, but I truly was completely miserable by the end of day 2. Here’s a quick rundown of what I had to eat:
Sunday:
I got a bit of a late start because I didn’t have any good noshing food in the house so I had to head to mom’s…lol…Once there I munched on some carrot cake she had there, ate a piece of pizza leftover from the day before, then i had a cotto salami sandwich on white bread with lots of mayo, Lay’s potato chips, more carrot cake. After all that I then went to a Labor Day bbq at a friends house and totally got my eat on some more…indulged in dips, chips, pizza, part of a burger, casseroles galore, birthday cake and lots of raspberry lemonade…mmm…mmm. When I got home I ate some more of the casserole I took to the party along with a few peanuts…my stomach hurt like hell!
Monday:
Another bit of a late start on Monday…ran to pick up Dylan at his dad’s house and stopped at McDonald’s on the way back out to mom’s. I only got a couple bites of chicken biscuit because somebody who said he didn’t want anything suddenly decided my biscuit was lookin’ pretty darn good. We continued on to mom’s and from there I proceeded to cook it up! I made toast with lots of butter, fried eggs and Petit Jean bacon…probably had 2 1/2 slices of toast, 2 1/2 eggs and 3-4 pieces of bacon. We went to the lake that day and before we left I had a beef hot dog on white bread, again, lots of mayo and a few chips. At the lake snacked on fried salmon patties, a little watermelon, some cole slaw, Ritz crackers and more than a full can of REAL coke! lol! For dinner, I stopped at Sonic, got myself a #1 cheeseburger (MAYO baby!) with onion rings, a real strawberry limeade and a junior butterfinger candy sundae. At the end of the day, I was even sicker than the day before….I thought I just might die of a heart attack in my sleep! I suppose there is a method behind the madness because i was soooo ready to start the VLCD the next day!
It killed me to gain even MORE weight than I typically do on my own, but I did it because in all the research I ready everyone insisted that this phase had a purpose and was completely necessary for the program’s success. In total I gained a little over 3 pounds on the loading days.
