Day 1 of the VLCD

It’s my first day on the 500 calorie a day part of the diet. I have to do this for 40 days…pray for me! So far it hasn’t been too bad at all. I got another late start for my lunch so i was pretty hungry. However, once i got some food in me I was fine. Here’s what was on the menu for today.

Breakfast:

YerbaMate Chai tea with Truvia

Lunch:

3.5 oz diced chicken breast and loads of fresh steamed spinach. I used a little red wine vinegar for dipping and what not, one small braeburn apple, three skinny Grissini breadsticks (about 20 c worth) and iced tea with Sweetleaf to drink.

Dinner:

Pulled out the George Foreman and made some lean beef burgers. I had a burger patty loaded with spices atop more fresh spinach, some strawberries, my breadsticks and tea.

Dinner was pretty satisfying. i guess that means the hcg is doing its job. Yay! I was starting to get some hunger pains right before bed so I just drank more water and went to sleep!
